About Golden Roots GH

Our Vision

Homes That Uplift. Neighborhoods That Empower.

At Golden Roots GH, we’re not just building homes—we’re building the future of community in Ghana. These neighborhoods will be places where people live, work, and thrive together. Where dignity is designed into every detail.

Our goal is to create a scalable model—starting with one vibrant neighborhood and growing from there. Each home will be sustainable, affordable, and beautifully designed for working Ghanaians.

By printing walls instead of laying bricks by hand, we reduce time, labor, and cost—so we can build more homes, for more families, with fewer resources.

Our Values

The Roots That Guide Us

At Golden Roots GH, our work is grounded in values that reflect both where we come from and where we’re headed. These are more than ideals—they shape every decision, partnership, and home we build.

Community

A house is just a structure. A neighborhood is a living, breathing community. From walkable roads made of colorful recycled bricks to shared gardens and playgrounds, we’re designing spaces that foster connection. We listen to community needs, because we’re not just building for people—we’re building with them.

Innovation

Ghana is rich in tradition, culture, and creativity—and we believe it can be rich in innovation too. We're using cutting-edge 3D printing technology not as a gimmick, but as a tool to solve real problems. By investing in new methods and local research, we’re positioning Ghana as a leader in the future of housing, not a follower.

Dignity

We believe that safe, beautiful housing is not a luxury—it’s a human right. Every family deserves a space that uplifts them, not just shelters them. Our designs prioritize comfort, safety, and pride of ownership, because dignity begins at home.

Justice

Access to housing is often shaped by inequality—economic and geographic. We’re here to change that. Golden Roots GH is focused on the working class: the teachers, nurses, drivers, farmers, vendors, and caretakers who keep our communities running but are often priced out of homeownership.

Justice means creating real pathways for these families to build generational wealth, not just get by. Because when people own their homes, they gain stability, pride, and the opportunity to invest in the future.

Reversing the Brain Drain

For too long, Africa’s brightest minds have felt forced to leave to build a future. We want to change that. By returning home with skills, resources, and global experience, we’re investing in Ghana—not escaping it. And we’re inviting others to do the same. The future is here.

Decolonizing Aid

Too often, “help” comes with strings attached or decisions made far from the people affected. We believe in African-led solutions, local ownership, and long-term empowerment—not dependency. Our model flips traditional aid on its head.

Who We Are

A Love Story. A Vision for Home.

Golden Roots GH began with two lives crossing paths across continents. George grew up in Ghana. Bethany first visited Ghana with an NGO- and something about the place just stayed with her. The two met, fell in love, and eventually built a life together in the U.S.- raising kids, working hard, and dreaming of how they could one day give back.

Now, they’re bringing that dream full circle.

Golden Roots GH isn’t just a nonprofit- it’s a homecoming and a hope. We believe Ghana is full of potential, talent, and promise. It’s a land of opportunity, and we want to be part of building that future from the ground up.

We’re here to return, rebuild, and reimagine what’s possible. By combining local partnerships with cutting-edge 3D printing technology, we aim to create thriving communities for working Ghanaians. Our goal is to shift resources and innovation into the hands of the people who live and love here- because Ghana doesn’t need to catch up. Ghana is ready to lead.

Help Us Lay the Foundation

We’re just getting started, and we need your help. Every cedi, every dollar, every voice matters.

Your donation helps us:

Purchase and secure land

Research and develop the local mixture for our 3D-printed homes

Lease the printing machine

Hire local talent

Subsidize housing costs for working-class families

No amount is too small. This is a grassroots movement—powered by people who believe in justice, innovation, and the future of Ghana.
